An important question! Here is a timeline of my work and training:
I graduated from Loyola University Chicago with my BS in Human Services, which is an interdisciplinary degree focusing in: psychology, sociology, political science, social work, and criminal justice. During undergrad, I worked significantly in refugee resettlement in various roles.
I then worked for Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, a residential trauma treatment facility for young men (and women, but I worked on the boys' campus), for 3 years. During my time there, I completed a Crossroads Antiracism Training (https://crossroadsantiracism.org/)program, specifically the Animating Antiracist Ways of Being training. Additionally, I was trained in ARC Model (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TA1pD8cQv8c)of trauma-informed therapy through Mercy Home.
After this, I completed my master's degree in social work from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. During the first year of my program, I interned with Organize Ohio (https://organizeohio.org/)and NOBLE (https://www.ohiobudgetequality.org/about)(Norther Ohioans for Budget Legislation Equality), focusing on community organizing. During my second year, I returned to my residential roots and interned as a therapist at New Directions, which is a substance use recovery facility for teens.
Through Case, I received my certificate in trauma-informed practice.
Since then, I've worked in private practice, focusing on trauma-informed mental health therapy primarily with queer folks.
I received my certification in Somatic Ecotherapy through The Earthbody Institute (https://www.theearthbodyinstitute.com/)in 2024.
I became certified as a Level 2 practitioner of Usui/Holy Fire III Reiki in 2025 because I am at a point in my career where I recognize that healing requires working with more than just our minds and emotions alone. I think Reiki is an incredible tool that allows us to work on healing at a cellular level.
I am an LMSW (# 6801121563) in the state of Michigan and an LISW (# I.2507413) in the state of Ohio.

Unfortunately, the space I am currently renting is not ADA compliant. There are about 7 stairs to reach the entrance to the building and then another 15 to go down to my office.
For Ecotherapy, we can work around this by meeting for our first few sessions online and then meeting outdoors, as this is a normal progression for the work.
For Reiki, we can meet online instead.
Parking: If you turn onto Washington St, you can access the alley to the back of the building, where you will find a large free parking lot.
Entrance: The entrance to Lovelight Collective is at the back of the building. There is a large pride flag on the front door along Caesar Chavez, but that door remains locked at all times.
Once you come inside, I ask that you take off your shoes so that we respect Lovelight's space. There are shoe trays and rugs where you can leave your shoes. You are also welcome to bring them downstairs to my office with you if that feels more comfortable. There is a bench in the entrance area where you are welcome to sit and wait until I come up to meet you. There might be a yoga class occurring when you arrive, but that is okay! If there is a class, we will be quiet until we reach my office, and then we can start chatting.
The Office: I share an office with a wonderful massage therapist, though we will never be in the space at the same time as she and her clients. The office is in the basement of the building, so there are unfortunately no windows (all the more motivation to eventually get outside!). There is a large, comfortable armchair that you can either sit in while we have therapy or set your things on while we do Reiki.
This is a photo of the space (prior to when I moved in. I will update it soon!) to give you an idea:
